Blundstone 500

Blundstone 500

I have worn these boots for about two years now, and they have proven to be very durable and versatile. They stand up to muck and after a quick rinse, they look ready to rock 'n' roll. Comfy and easy to slip your feet into thanks to the tough pull tabs, the 500s are perfect for travelling. Have to pull off your boots before checking into the departure area? No sweat. Have to put them on while hanging onto your passport and carry-on luggage? Too easy! They are also mighty easy to slip in and out of when you have to make that dash to the bathroom in the middle of your favourite in-flight movie. These were the only footwear I wore on my 2 week trip to Spain in June and it took me from pintxo bars to the mountains with aplomb.

The best place to buy them is online via Sugar River Outfitters. They are pricey but well worth the money (Hint: wait for Christmas and New Year's Eve specials!)

The Good:
Classic, clean design
Simple, sturdy construction
Ease of wear

The Bad:
Ankle support is average
Not easy to get in Singapore

So go ahead and take the plunge!

  1. Hi there, how's the fit for the shoe? I'm wearing a size 6 1/2(aus sizing) of RM Williams. Any idea of comparing these 2 brands? Thanks
